On a dark and stormy night in early April of 1979, The Li'l Pooputts were in the studio preparing to record a follow up to the previous year's near-smash album, No More Tearz. While running through a new number, Little Lance Bunion, William "Sackhead" Jim, and the boy with no name heard a ghostly lead guitar coming from seemingly nowhere. The style was instantly recognizable; it had to be their long-dead friend Guber! The events of the rest of the night have been a topic of debate and discussion ever since. But the Pooputts maintain that Guber visited them in the form of an apparition and played some of the most beautiful music the world has ever heard only to disappear into the ether once again. This double album is comprised entirely of songs recorded on that fateful night and the The Li'l Pooputts are awed and honored to call this album "GUBER LIVES!"
