On the November 17, 1981 the Li'l Pooputts took peyote for the first time while on a meditative retreat in Indiana.
"Yessiree" was written and recorded in one night under the influence of the psychedelic. To this day the album remains a mystifying and polarizing entry in their prolific catalog. Some claim it is their most brilliant work, others deem it unlistenable mumbo jumbo.
